[A full musical episode] would have been fun. I know. It would have been fun. And I will say that, between takes, Melissa and I do a tremendous amount of singing. But no, I know. It’s a shame. It’s a shame that this is a weird solo number, where they also picked weirdly one of the people with, like, probably the least amazing singing voice. But I do make up for it in super, super high kicking. So there is that.

Ghosts

Spoiler TV has a synopsis for the October 7 pilot episode of Rose McIver’s new series, Ghosts.

Samantha and Jay throw both caution and money to the wind when they decide to convert a rundown country estate they inherited into a bed and breakfast – only to find it’s inhabited by the many opinionated spirits of deceased residents who now call it home, on the series premiere of GHOSTS, Thursday, Oct. 7 (9:01-9:30 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network, and available to stream live and on demand on Paramount+.

The departed souls are a close-knit, eclectic group that includes a saucy Prohibition-era lounge singer; a pompous 1700s militiaman; a ‘60s hippie fond of hallucinogens; an overly upbeat ‘80s scout troop leader; a cod-obsessed Viking explorer from 1009; a slick ‘90s finance bro; a sarcastic and witty native from the 1500s; and a society woman and wife of an 1800s robber baron who is Samantha’s ancestor, to name a few. If the spirits were anxious about the commotion a renovation and B&B will create in their home, it’s nothing compared to when they realize Samantha is the first live person who can see and hear them.

Rose McIver, Utkarsh Ambudkar, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Román Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky and Devan Chandler Long star.

Moon Knight

In another recent interview with Total Film (again, via Games Radar), Oscar Isaac intriguingly stated the Moon Knight series “doesn’t follow the same logic of what a lot of superhero films do.”

It’s not so much about the genre of things. It’s the people. And is there room to do something interesting in it? And sometimes there is, and you think there will be. And sometimes it turns out there isn’t. So with this – I love the people involved. I thought there was an incredibly unusual story to tell within the world of, you know, the superhero language. But we’re making something that’s quite different, and that doesn’t follow the same… not necessarily even logic of what a lot of superhero films do. I think because of that, I just found an opportunity to do something that I’ve not done at all yet, and to have a lot of creative collaboration with the rest of the people making it.
